What a wonderful response from our school community! Thank you parents AND children! Last Saturday’s Working Bee was a huge success and our school community enthusiastically committed their time and energy in an atmosphere of fun, cooperation and community spirit that is evident at Holy Name. The excellent weather conditions were a blessing too!
Numerous tasks were completed. These included:
- Seating platforms around the trees in the Junior Yard.
- New basketball backboards, rings and nets
- Nets added to the soccer goals
- Garden beds along McColl Street
- ALL Stormwater pits cleared
- Laneway cleaned at northern end of school
- McColl Street footpath swept clean
- Repair to leaking drink troughs
- Repair to flag pole
I am sure you will notice these improvements when you walk through the school yard.
There will be further photos of the day featured in next week’s Newsletter, however please visit the school foyer to view the current photo display that captures the hard working and joyful spirit of our community working bee.
