On Wednesday 24th March 2021, 20 of our students represented Holy Name in the Preston District Primary School Sports Association Swimming Carnival at the Northcote Aquatic and Recreation Centre. While we were not able to have the usual enormous support of our parents due to COVID restrictions, the cheering, support and encouragement could be heard across the pool from all the students.
Congratulations to all the children who participated and displayed great sportsmanship. Our swim team placed 3rd in overall points, which is another great result for our school at this carnival. We are so proud of their behaviour, good sportsmanship and efforts. Well done to all the first-time swimmers who put in a great effort.
Remarkably we have 16 students who have progressed to the next round, Division Sports Championships, which will be occurring next week.
