2019 PRESTON REGIONAL DEBATING DAY

On Tuesday 20th August, twelve Year 6 students participated in the 2019 Preston Regional Debating Day at St Raphael’s Primary School. This day was a great experience for the students to apply their learnings about persuasive writing and improving their speaking and listening skills in a formal debate setting. All students had the opportunity to participate in a formal debate and also work together in a collaborative setting. Although it was a challenging experience, the learning to participate in rebuttals and expanding arguments was invaluable.
